Last Day in Kayenta

Today was our last day here. 😦 This morning I worked in the pediatric clinic which I actually really enjoyed (which I did not think would be the case…haha). At lunchtime we left and went to see a code talker and hogan display in town. It was really interesting to read about everything. We grabbed lunch at Sonic (I know, I couldn’t believe there was a Sonic either) and headed home to eat. After lunch we decided to hike to “The Toes” which is a rock formation behind our trailer. We hiked and rock climbed for about three hours until dinner time. It was so much fun!!! Then we came back and all had one last dinner together. One of the girls that we worked with stopped by with her kids to say bye to us, which was really nice! Now we’re trying to pack and it’s a bit of a challenge because we’ve acquired a lot of things while we’ve been here. I’m really sad to leave but I’ve had the experience of a lifetime and I’m so grateful that I had this opportunity. I will never forget the wonderful people that I met and the amazing memories that we made! We will be leaving Kayenta at 4:30 am to drive to Flagstaff to drop off our rental cars and catch our bus back to Phoenix for our flight. Thank you all for reading about my experience here! I appreciate the support. See you all soon!
